[Structure and Features]
“Liuleng” YKD horizontal cylindrical block graphite heat exchangers are one of the most advanced, superior graphite heat exchangers found in the market. Cylindrical blocks for heat transfer are designed to be in standard units, featuring high structural strength. Moreover, the exchanger employs O-ring PTFE seals rather than cementing agents, with pressure springs installed to serve as an automatic mechanism for compensating for thermal expansion and contraction. Furthermore, the exchanger uses short channels and adds redistributing rooms to improve the turbulence effect. As a result, these approaches bring high structural strength, excellent temperature and pressure resistance, good impact resistance, high heat transfer efficiency, long life and easy maintenance to the heat exchanger. The exchanger can be made into an evaporator by making a slight change in the upper and lower head covers
[Technical Properties]
Design Temperature: For serving as heaters: -20~400 °C at maximum (320 °C at maximum for exchangers having been put into use)Design Pressure: Normal atmosphere to 0.4 MPa (The exchangers of 2.4 MPa are available on request. For the exchangers having been put into use, the design pressure is 1.8 Mpa)Heat Transfer Area: 2~500 m2 (The exchangers of 500-700 m2 in heat transfer area are available on request) Executive Standard: HG5-1321-80 (drafted by the director of the research institute), HG/T3113-1998 YKA Horizontal Cylindrical Block Graphite Heat Exchangers
[Applications]
This series of exchangers function as heaters, coolers, and condensers. A gas-liquid separator is to be added for the exchange to serve as condensers.
[Equipment Advantages]
Compared to YKA series, the exchanger has a range of additional advantages as follows:
1) The graphite blocks are provided with no center hole with water passing from one side to the other side directly. The blocks spread in feed holes help to improve the material utilization;
2) These exchangers are easier to operate and maintain in that the graphite blocks are sealed on the external side only rather than on both of the internal and external sides as in YKA series, which may cause sealing failure;
3) These exchangers are more compact and have a smaller volume than YKA series for the same size of heat transfer area.
4) The exchangers of larger specifications are available;
5) Can be designed to be of multiple processes, vertical, or horizontal.
